General & Family Dental Services We Provide:
If you’re missing two or more teeth in a row, a dental bridge might be best. A bridge is anchored in place through the use of two dental crowns, which are custom-made for your smile. These crowns hold the artificial tooth in place to restore your smile. Bridges last for many years and are designed to return function, beauty, and health to your smile.
When a tooth is severely decayed beyond saving with a filling or crown, an extraction is recommended. Our goal is to restore your smile to optimal health, beauty, and function. We will provide you with detailed post-treatment care instructions so you can take care of your smile while it heals.
Root canal treatment is a type of endodontic therapy that’s needed when injury or decay reaches deep into the tooth. Once the infected tissues are removed, the tooth is cleaned and filled with a medicated material. A cap will be placed on the tooth to restore its functionality. If left untreated, a tooth extraction may be needed to stop the infection from spreading to adjacent teeth.
Exams & Cleanings
The most basic, but most important, of our services are dental exams and cleanings. The best way to prevent expensive procedures is early detection. During our dental exams, we’ll check the health of your teeth, scan for any periodontal disease, and perform an oral cancer screening. For cleanings, we’ll remove any plaque or tartar, which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease. We’ll then floss and polish your teeth to give you a healthy and bright smile.
Implants are permanent, stable tooth replacements that are surgically placed into the jawbone using a titanium dental post. A healing period is needed so the jawbone and screw can bond together. With implants, we can replace one tooth or an entire arch depending on your needs. These can last a lifetime if properly cared for.
We’re proud to offer a way to help alleviate any anxiety associated with dental procedures. We use the Wand® to deliver computer-regulated flow of anesthesia, which results in a more comfortable, and pain-free numbing experience. The effect is immediate and allows us to numb just one tooth, so you no longer need to worry about half of your mouth being numb for hours after your appointment! Call today for more details about this advanced technology and how we can use it for your next appointment.
The dental crown, or cap, is used to restore a tooth that is significantly damaged or decayed. A crown is custom-fit to position over the entire tooth. These can be made of porcelain, gold, or porcelain fused to metal.
We perform x-rays to check for a variety of dental issues, including:
Abnormal development of teeth or jaws
Decay in between teeth
Improper positioning of the roots of teeth
Cysts and abscesses
Fractures in your teeth or existing fillings
Infection of teeth or tooth nerves
Dentures are an oral appliance aimed at replacing multiple missing teeth and restoring the function and beauty of your smile. Dentures come in two varieties, complete and partial. A complete denture is used to replace all the teeth in a full arch. Meanwhile, a partial is used to replace multiple missing teeth, but still have remaining natural teeth. A clasp is used to attach the partial denture to the natural teeth for a secure fit.
